Talented Berkeley children take part at the Summer Singing Festival at Hammersmith Town Hall
On Tuesday 5th July 2016, fifteen talented Berkeley children from years four, five and six attended the Summer Singing Festival at Hammersmith Town Hall. During the festival, which took place over three nights, over 1200 pupils from Hounslow schools performed a variety of songs. They were conducted by a professional animator and accompanied by live musicians. Our children worked alongside many other schools to learn a repertoire of ten songs around the theme ‘Under the Sea’. The reward for the hard work they have put into their extra singing lessons and lunchtime rehearsals was a stunning performance; audience members and event organisers alike commented on their fantastic singing and recital, their exemplary behaviour and their pristine presentation throughout the event. It was a brilliant opportunity for the children to showcase their musical talents, and they greatly enjoyed our afternoon out to a live music venue. Their teachers couldn’t be prouder!
