Year 3 Stonehenge project
The children in Year 3 made models based on Stonehenge as part of their ‘Stone Age’ topic.
Although the original monument took 30,000,000 hours to build, the children built theirs in one lesson. They used bourbon biscuits for sarsen stones and shortbread biscuits for lintels. They worked brilliantly in teams, displaying outstanding co-operation and communication skills. Miss Ghauri chose the winning team, based on these skills.
Year 3 are looking forward to visiting Butser Farm in June to learn more about the Stone Age. They will write an article and take lots of photos for the website.
