History of "Advantage Multi-Academy Trust"

Cranford Community College, Cranford Primary School, Berkeley Primary School and Springwell Junior School, originally formed to make a joint tender for Grounds maintenance in 2009. All schools were amazed by the outcome of the Grounds Maintenance tender process which saw a vastly improved quality of service matched with significantly reduced costs for each school. This success confirmed to the schools the value of working together and opportunities were sought to widen the impact.

This partnership has grown from strength to strength, starting with joint tendering for contracts to include support for conversion to Academy status, QPR extra-curricular sports, apprenticeship programmes, innovation projects, summer schools, training workshops, community events and festivals. The Advantage Multi-Academy Trust’ motto is ‘Transforming a Community’ and this is achieved through strong partnership, engaging the local community in education for life and supporting all schools to be outstanding.

Over the years the Group has gone from strength to strength and continues to develop. Two new schools have joined the Group, Beavers Community Primary and Westbrook and the range of activity has widened. The model is one which is now replicated across the country. The Cranford Group of Schools have supported each other through OFSTED inspections and conversions to Academy status. The Group has worked on a number of initiatives including, QPR extra-curricular sports delivery, sports apprenticeship programme, Innovation projects including nurture groups and EAL holiday activity, event support, storytelling workshops and festivals.

The Advantage Multi-Academy Trust aims to support all schools within the group to be outstanding. Through educational and community engagement the Advantage Multi-Academy Trust aims to transform the community it serves.
